Tugdock’s patented marine buoyancy unit technology has been deployed at France’s first Floating Wind pilot project, the 24MW Provence Grand Large floating offshore wind farm. Located 40km west of Marseille, the project is led by EDF Renewables. It includes three wind turbines which will become operational before the end of 2023.
Tugdock’s unique technology is being used within the three floating foundations, providing additional buoyancy and reducing the draught of the floating sub-structures.
The Tugdock Submersible Platforms have also been used during assembly of the Wind Turbine Generators, providing additional stability, as well as facilitating launch and ongoing O&M activities.
